IPS officer Chhaya Sharma Posting In Delhi Police: Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Chhaya Sharma has been appointed as Joint Commissioner in the Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police, investigating officer of the 2012 Nirbhaya gang rape case. Sharma was currently working as Director in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). The order for his appointment in Delhi Police has been issued on Tuesday.
Order for transfer and posting of 7 officers
Along with Chhaya Sharma, her husband Vivek Kishore has also been transferred to Delhi Police. Vivek Kishor is also an IPS officer, who will now take over as the Joint Commissioner of Traffic Police. Following the recommendation of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Tuesday issued an order for the transfer and posting of 7 officers of Delhi Police.
Chhaya Sharma is a 1999 batch IPS officer.
In this order, IPS officer Chhaya Sharma and her husband Vivek Kishor, who returned from central deputation, have been given a new charge. Chhaya Sharma’s postings
In April-2013, Chhaya Sharma was promoted to the rank of DIG and sent to Mizoram, where she took over the work of CID. Then two years later he was brought to Delhi on Central Deputation and given the responsibility of DIG Investigation in Human Rights Commission. After 5 years, in July 2020, he was made director in CVC.

After working as a director in CVC, he has now returned to Delhi Police. Apart from these two, Rajnish Gupta has been made Special Branch, Suman Goel has been made Central Range and Vinu Bansal has been made Additional Commissioner of Northern Range. Ravindra Kumar Pandey, Additional Commissioner of Vigilance Branch, has been given additional charge of General Administration Department. Sanjay Tyagi has been appointed as DCP of IGI Airport.
