- Vaccination campaign from May 1 in 7 districts of UP including Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj

The Uttar Pradesh government is starting to apply Corona vaccine to people between 18 and 44 years from May 1 (Saturday). Under the first phase, vaccination will be started in seven districts where there are more than nine thousand under-treatment patients. After this, vaccination of people of this age group will also be started in other districts. The districts where vaccination will start from Saturday include Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut and Bareilly.
Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad on Friday said that from May 1, vaccination of people in the age group of 18-44 will begin in seven districts and will be implemented in other districts after that. He informed that in the first phase, vaccination will be done in seven districts where there are more than nine thousand under-treatment patients of infection. According to Prasad, the software made for this vaccination will also be tested in these districts and then it will be expanded to other districts as well.
Yogi government has ordered one crore vaccines
The Uttar Pradesh government had decided to give Covid-19 vaccine to people above 18 years of age. On Thursday, it decided to issue a global tender to purchase four to five crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech have been instructed to provide 50–50 lakh doses of the vaccine. Prasad said that more than 1.23 crore doses have been given in the state so far. There are 1.01 crore people who took the first dose and more than 22.33 lakh people have taken the second dose. He requested all the characters to get vaccinated for immunization from Covid-19.
