New Delhi. Many shocking turns have taken place in the famous Unnao Rape Case today. Today i.e. on Wednesday, a new thing has emerged in the Supreme Court. When the lawyer’s wife, who had pleaded the victim, told the Supreme Court that she was being threatened to be killed. Therefore, she should be given protection to go out of UP.
In the Unnao rape case, former MLA and Bahubali Kuldeep Singh Sengar has been sentenced by the trial court to ten years in the case of murder of the victim’s father. While in the rape case, he has been sentenced to life imprisonment. He is currently in jail. But his fear still remains. The main reason for this is the death of many people associated with this case.
Earlier, Mahendra Singh, the lawyer who had pleaded for the rape victim in this case, was badly injured in a road accident. He died during treatment. Apart from these, the father of the rape victim was also killed. Now lawyer Mahendra Singh’s wife Sudha Singh is also getting threats to kill her. In this regard, he has filed a petition in the Supreme Court.
Sudha Singh says that she is in danger of her life. She is also a cancer patient. They have to come to Delhi for treatment. But they do not get security to go out of UP. Therefore, there is a danger of life. During the hearing, Chief Justice Justices SA Bobde asked the lawyer of the UP government why they were not being given protection. On this, the lawyer of UP government Aishwarya Bhati told the court that Sudha Singh has been given security personnel at her house, but the state Security is not provided for going out of. Aishwarya said that there is a reason for this, which she cannot make public, but wants to submit a report in a sealed envelope to the court. The court can read the report and order further. The court allowed the UP government to submit the report. After reading the report, the court will now hear further in this matter next week.
