Treason charge against Rana couple is not proved – Mumbai Sessions Court
Hanuman Chalisa Row: The Rana couple, who were arrested over the Hanuman Chalisa controversy, finally got bail from the sessions court on Wednesday, 11 days after their arrest. During the hearing of this case, the Mumbai Sessions Court said that the charge of sedition against Navneet Rana, independent MP from Amravati and her MLA husband Ravi Rana, is not proved. At the same time, he said that the Rana couple did not come out of the house after the notice of the police.

Let us inform that Navneet Rana was lodged in Byculla Jail for the last 11 days and on Wednesday, May 4, on the 12th day, she has been given premature release due to ill health. Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana have got bail with conditions. The Rana couple has been released from the court on a personal bond of 50 thousand.

While granting bail, the court also laid many conditions for the couple. According to the order, the Rana couple cannot talk to the media. Evidence cannot be tampered with. The court also directed that the couple would not commit any such offense again. Apart from this, the police will give them notice 24 hours in advance, after which they will have to go to the police station to give attendance. If they commit such offense again, the bail will be cancelled.
