London: Three members of a family of Tamil origin were found dead in a flat in London, the capital of the United Kingdom. Scotland Yard police are investigating the case as a mixed case of murder and suicide. Police believe that the situation will be clear after the postmortem of the bodies on Thursday.
After receiving information from the neighborhood, Metropolitan Police officers broke into the Brentford flat on Tuesday. They found the bodies of a 36-year-old woman and her three-year-old son Kailash Kuha Raj there. Her husband Kuha Raj Sitamparathan was lying injured. He had deep knife wounds on his body. He also died on the spot shortly after. Police believe that when the officers entered the flat, 42-year-old Sitamparnathan stabbed himself. It is suspected that this may be a case of murder and suicide.
According to the police, he received a call from a family member on Sunday night expressing concern over the safety of the relatives. Officers went to the flat early in the morning and knocked on the door several times, but got no response. Neighbors were interviewed during the day and it was decided to break down the door and enter the house.
Simon Harding, detective chief of the crime command, an expert of the Metropolitan Police, said that Purna and Kailash had not been seen out of the house for a few days, perhaps not since September 21. It is suspected that Purna and Kailash died some time ago. He may have been assassinated by Sitamparathanathan. After that he may have committed suicide himself.
