Special worship at Bhadrakali temple in North Kashmir on the occasion of Mahanavami

Maha Navami Puja in Kashmir: In the last few days in Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists attacked minorities and many were also killed in broad daylight. Amidst the tense atmosphere after the attack, a special puja was performed at the temple of Bhadrakali in north Kashmir on the occasion of Mahanavami on Thursday. Kashmiri Pandits from different parts of the country worshiped here. The Bhadrakali temple is considered by Kashmiri Pandits as their Kuldevi.

The special thing about the Bhadrakali temple, built in the Rajwar area of Kupwara, the border district of Kashmir, is that this temple is inside the Rashtriya Rifles camp of the army and not only is worshiped here every day, but also a fair is also held every year in October. . This time too, despite Corona, a large number of people came to this occasion. However, the fair did not take place.

Not only Hindus came to attend on this occasion, but many Muslim people also participated in this worship and congratulated the people. On this occasion, special worship was also done to prevent the corona epidemic, but the complaints of the devotees were about the fact that even after so many years, there is no arrangement for the maintenance of the temple and for the convenience of the devotees.

At the same time, on Thursday, Kashmiri Pandits performed Mahanavami Puja at the Durga Nath temple located in Sonwar area of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The temple management said the festivities were delayed in view of tensions over recent civilian killings in Kashmir. According to the temple manager Makhanlal, the puja was to be held on October 12 as per the calendar, but due to circumstances, the administration did not allow it earlier. Though the puja took place on Thursday, less number of devotees gathered as compared to previous years.
