Sea-plane service has been launched from Sabarmati river in Gujarat to Sardar Sarobar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the service by paying homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birthday. The ceremony has been held in front of the Statue of Unity. Speaking there, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said sea-plane would give a new direction to India’s tourism industry. This sea-plane will take a new place in the tourist map of the country. From now onward, Gujarat will become more and more of tourist attraction. On the 145th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Prime Minister appealed to the people to maintain unity. October 31 is celebrated as National Unity Day.
Besides inaugurating sea-plane service, the Prime Minister also inaugurated Sardar Patel Zoological Park in Kedia. He inaugurated the Ekta Cruise Service from Shrestha Bharat Bhavan to the Statue of Unity. Also visited the aviary. The Prime Minister met her mother on the first day of her two-day visit in Gujarat. After that he got busy to join one program after another.
