Dehradun: Senior Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot reached Dehradun today. After reaching Jolly Grant at 10.30 in the morning, Sachin Pilot came directly to Congress Bhavan by road where he met senior Congress leaders. By the way, this visit of Sachin Pilot was to speak against the policies of the central government. But on coming to Dehradun, Sachin Pilot also filled the enthusiasm among the workers. Before the elections, Sachin Pilot also taught the lesson of solidarity to all the leaders of the party.
After meeting senior Congress leaders, Sachin Pilot held a press conference, through which he fiercely attacked the central government. Pilot made many allegations against the central government on the Modi government by making inflation an issue. Pilot said that the central government is adept at giving speeches but is not giving any relief to the public in the name of inflation. He said that at this time inflation is at such a peak in the country that many families are not getting food on time. Sachin Pilot said about the rising prices of petrol and diesel in the country that at this time the prices of petrol and diesel have become more expensive than desi ghee. Due to the continuous increase in the price of petrol and diesel, every item is getting expensive and its direct effect is falling on the general public of the country. He also attacked the government of Uttarakhand fiercely regarding inflation.
Sachin Pilot while addressing the Modi government at the Center said that in most of the states of the country, the price of petrol has reached above ₹ 100. Petrol prices have been increased 66 times in the last 6 months. This shows the policies of the central government that it is taking more interest in increasing inflation rather than reducing it. When the Congress government was in power at the Centre, we all opposed all the proposals to increase the price of petrol. But this government is deliberately putting the burden of inflation on the people. He said that 23 crore people came below poverty line in 7 years and excise duty was increased in petrol and diesel. Sachin Pilot further said that the Government of India has imposed a cess of Rs 33 per liter on petrol, Rs 32 on diesel. He said that the farmers have been agitating for a long time and the government is not listening to their problems. Work has been done to weaken the companies of India.
Elections will be held under collective leadership in 2022- Sachin Pilot
Regarding the assembly elections to be held in Uttarakhand in 2022, Sachin Pilot said that the Congress has an established tradition that elections are fought under collective leadership. The leader is selected only after the election. He said that the Congress does not have a tradition like the BJP that the Chief Minister should be changed thrice in a year. Pilot said that when the Congress comes to power, the leader is elected unanimously by all the MLAs and governments run under his leadership. He said that in 2022, Congress government will be formed in Uttarakhand with full majority.
