A local female tourist guide has lodged a complain that she was gangraped in a five-star lodging close to India Gate in central Delhi, a high-security zone only 2 km from the Connaught Place market, police said on Sunday. The survivor named six individuals including a lady after which the primary charged is taken into custody, they included.
The episode occurred on September 18 and the survivor settled on the trouble decision and made the call to police the following day, police said.
The lodging where the wrongdoing occurred had been reserved by two business men, they included.
The survivor, who likewise functions as a tourist guide and ticket-booking agent, was in critical need of cash and the charged had called her to the lodging on the affection of conceding her providing loan at low rate, police said.
“On the casualty’s protest, a case is enlisted u/s 376D, 323, 34 IPC PS Connaught Place against 06 affirmed people including one lady,” Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi, Eish Singhal told NDTV. “The lady was charmed to come to the hotel on the affection of giving loan at a very negligible interest rates by the supposed people. The victim functioned as local tour guide cum ticket booking specialist and she was in desperate need of cash. The room was reserved under the name of two business people,” he included.
A man named Manoj Sharma, an inhabitant of Delhi’s Sheik Sarai region, has been taken in custody regarding the situation.
