Rajasthan Cabinet Expansion News: Amidst the ongoing discord in the Rajasthan Congress for a year, now the discussion of reshuffle in the state cabinet is gaining momentum. According to Congress sources, there may be a change in the state cabinet by the end of this month. For this, Congress general secretary in-charge Ajay Makaan and central leader KC Venugopal have also completed their homework to a large extent. Venugopal is also consulting CM Ashok Gehlot on this issue after reaching Rajasthan tour.
Behind all this possible exercise in Rajasthan, the recently ended controversy in the Punjab Congress is believed to be that if the dispute is resolved in Punjab, now it is the turn of Rajasthan. Well this is in its place, but for the central leadership of the Congress, it may prove to be a difficult task to find a formula to easily resolve the dispute in Rajasthan.
The reason for this is the ongoing war in Rajasthan between the factions of CM Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot. In such a situation, taking care of both the factions will be a big challenge for Venugopal and Ajay Maken. Now from which faction how many ministers will be made, this is a big question because at present there are 21 ministers including CM Gehlot in Rajasthan and in terms of the total number of MLAs, maximum 30 ministers can be made in the state. Now let us know how many contenders will be there for these total nine vacant seats of the cabinet.
Regarding the expansion of the cabinet, the problem can definitely come before the Congress that which faction should be given so much attention. If the cabinet expansion satisfies the MLAs of the Pilot camp, then the MLAs of the deprived Gehlot camp may get angry.
The biggest challenge before Gehlot is to keep his supporters satisfied with 13 independents and 6 MLAs coming from BSP to Congress. Independents and MLAs coming from BSP are constantly demanding that the government is left because of them, so they should be made ministers. In such a situation, the list of contenders for the post of minister is seen reaching around four dozen.
Now in such a situation, it will prove to be a very complicated task for Gehlot to satisfy his party MLAs along with keeping his supported independent MLAs and half a dozen MLAs from BSP happy. Overall, the path of compromise is very difficult for CM Gehlot. Now it will be interesting to see that ‘magician’ Gehlot is able to hypnotize everyone with the power of his political magic.
