Punjab News: New Punjab Chief Ministers Charanjit Singh Channi and Navjot Singh Sidhu reached Delhi by chartered plane on Tuesday. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) have targeted this. According to sources, Channi, both Deputy Chief Minister and Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu have come to Delhi to discuss with the central leadership regarding the new council of ministers of the state.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) attacked the Congress, saying the party could not give up “its royal habits”. AAP MLA and Leader of Opposition in the state assembly Harpal Singh Cheema said, “Just saying does not make a common man, his actions bring out the truth of his personality.”
Harpal Singh Cheema said in a statement that the real faces of Channi, Sidhu and Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, who a day earlier were calling themselves poor common people, were exposed.
On the other hand, the SAD targeted the Congress leaders in a tweet saying, “After saying that they stand with the common man, Congress leaders take private planes from Chandigarh to Delhi to travel only a distance of 250 km. There are no normal flights or cars that can be used? … Or is this sham for the purpose of propagating the Delhi Durbar culture of the Gandhi family?”
Not only this, the media advisor of former Punjab CM Amarinder Singh has also asked a question regarding the cost of the chartered plane. He said that when the government helicopter is available, then why was there a need for a chartered plane for four people? Who is paying its cost?
Sidhu posted a photo of himself on Twitter in which he is seen near a ‘chartered’ plane with Channi and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa. Sidhu tweeted, “In the course of duty!!”
