PM Modi Launched 5G Testbed Services In India: Prime minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) has launched 5G testbed in the country today. PM has launched this testbed for industries and startups. Startups and other industrial units will be able to use this facility for testing their services related to 5G. He launched this testbed through video conferencing at the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
During this, PM Modi said that there was a time of frustration, despair, corruption and policy paralysis in the country during the 2G era, but the country is now ready to move from there to 3G to 6G with speed and transparency. This facility of 5G testbed will be available in IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad and Indian Institute of Science.
How much will be the benefit of launching 5G?
The PM said that 5G is expected to benefit $ 450 million in the next 15 years. The PM announced that the government is working on the goal of starting 6G service in the country by the end of this decade. Attacking the Congress in gestures, the PM said that before 2014, 2G meant desperation, despair and corruption, which has now been changed by his government. The PM also released a postage stamp on the occasion.
Congratulating the researchers and institutions associated with this project, he said that I have got the opportunity to dedicate my own self-made 5G test bed to the nation. This is also an important step towards self-reliance of critical and modern technology in the telecom sector.
Why is modern connectivity necessary?
Modi said that the country’s own 5G standard has been made in the form of 5G, it is a matter of great pride for the country and it will play a big role in bringing 5G technology to the villages of the country. He said that connectivity in 21st century India will determine the pace of progress of the country. Therefore connectivity has to be modernized at every level.
The PM said that 5G technology is going to bring a positive change in the governance, ease of life and ease of business in the country and it will give impetus to progress in agriculture, health, education, infrastructure and every sector. Citing an estimate, he said that 5G is going to contribute $ 450 billion to India’s economy in the coming one and a half decades. This will accelerate progress and job creation.
When will 5G services start for common citizens?
The PM said that as soon as 5G comes in the market, collective effort is needed for this. He said that a task force has started working for 6G service to be started by the end of this decade. On this occasion, Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the government intends to start 5G service by the end of this year. TRAI was established in 1997 to regulate the telecom sector.
