4G service is going to be made available on the moon after the earth. And NASA has decided to build this 4G service. They have joined hands with mobile company Nokia for this work. They have decided to bring 4G LTE connectivity to the moon.
It is known that NASA has joined hands with Nokia’s research company Bell Labs. Launching this 4G service on the moon will cost a total of Rs 2,700 crore in Indian currency. NASA will give a part of it from their own pockets. The US administration will also help in this work. NASA and Nokia’s research firm Bell Labs have stated this separately.
Jim Reuters, who is in charge of the space technology mission on behalf of NASA, told the media that this work is being done not only for themselves, but also for the benefit of space research around the world. Because once the 4G service is launched on the moon, there will be a lot of benefits for the astronauts going on space missions. Besides, there are plans to have people on the moon in the coming days. This 4G service will also help in that plan.
Earlier, NASA had said that by 2028, they want to create a man-like environment on the moon. They have started working on that many days ago. So an important step in that project is to install this 4G service on moon.
On the other hand, according to Nokia’s research company Bell Labs, NASA has deemed them eligible for this service on the moon. They are the first organization to work on this project on moon. At First 4G LTE technology will be started there. After that 5G service will be taken into consideration.
However, not only NASA but many countries have already relied on Nokia for technological advancement. In February 2016, Vodafone Germany partnered with Nokia to create a space-grade network. This time they have received a quote from NASA to work on moon service.
