New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry on Thursday said that the daily cases of corona and infection rates in the country have stabilized in the last three days. There are 10 states in the country where the Kovid infection rate is 25 percent or more. There are 12 states in the country where the number of active patients of Kovid is more than one lakh. There are 24 states where the rate of infection is more than 15 percent.

E-Sanjivani, the premier national telemedicine service of the Union Ministry of Health, is operational in 31 states and union territories of the country. Also, around 40,000 patients across the country are using this contactless and risk-free modern healthcare service.

The Center has so far purchased 35.6 crore doses of Kovid vaccine for the current vaccination campaign. Apart from this, 16 crore doses (through direct purchase) are in the process of being delivered to states and private hospitals. NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul told that it is likely that Russia’s Sputnik vaccine will be available in the market from next week. This vaccine will be produced in India from July. There will be 216 million doses of 8 vaccines in the month of August to December.

So far, 18 crores Vaccination done
The number of Covid-19 vaccinated in the country has reached around 18 crores. On Thursday, the first dose of Covid vaccine was administered to 4,37,192 people aged 18-44 years and thus 39,14,688 people have been vaccinated in this category in 32 states and union territories since the beginning of the third phase of this vaccination.

There are 96,16,697 health workers who have been given the first dose of the vaccine while 66,02,553 are the health workers who have also received the second dose. Also, 1,43,14,563 personnel of Advance Front have been given the first dose while 81,12,476 personnel of the same category have been given the second dose. In addition, 39,14,688 people in the age group of 18-44 years have been given the first dose.
