Recently major reshuffles have been made in the Union Cabinet. Many names were given place in the Modi cabinet. One of these names is Ashwini Vaishnav. In the year 2019, BJP made Ashwini Vaishnav a Rajya Sabha MP and now he has been suddenly given the responsibility of two important ministries. Ashwini Vaishnav has been given the Ministry of Railways and Information Technology. These two ministries were earlier held by two big BJP leaders Piyush Goyal and Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Ashwini Vaishnav is celebrating his 51st birthday today (18 July 2021). On this occasion, along with congratulating him on his birthday, PM Modi has also praised him fiercely. PM Modi wrote in the tweet, “Happy birthday to Ashwini Vaishnav. He is working to transform key infrastructure related sectors of governance, which will benefit the citizens of our country. Praying for his long life and health. I do.”

PM Modi wanted to make Vaishnav a minister in 2020 too
Even before taking oath as minister, many big leaders of BJP did not have much information about Ashwini Vaishnav. If PM Modi has chosen him, it means there is something special in him. It has been learned that in the year 2020, even when the discussion of reshuffle in the Union Cabinet was going on, the name of Ashwini Vaishnav had come up. But the RSS had opposed Vaishnav’s involvement. But the BJP leadership stuck to his name.

It is said that when Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he used to discuss with Ashwini Vaishnav for the problems and policies related to technology. After this, even when Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, he remained in touch. Ashwini Vaishnav speaks good Gujarat. Although he was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. In the year 1992, he obtained a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jai Narayan Vyas University, Rajasthan. After this he did MTech from IIT-Kanpur and immediately after in 1994 joined the civil service.

Ashwini Vaishnav, a former IAS officer of 1994 batch, has held important responsibilities in the civil service for more than 15 years. He has worked as Collector in Balasore and Cuttack districts of Odisha. He is particularly known for his contribution to the design of public-private partnerships (PPPs). The National Human Rights Commission has also appreciated his work.
