Social worker Birbal Das in Rahim Yar Khan said that Ram Chand Meghwal, who was killed, was a Hindu and was 35–36 years of age. He had been running a teller shop for a long time. He was a very peace-loving man and was leading a happy life. He told that this khatna is shocking for everyone.
The police have launched an investigation after the brutal killing of a Hindu family. Pakistan’s Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Osman Bujdar has taken cognizance of the case and ordered the arrest of the culprits soon. However, attacks on Hindu and Sikh communities are common in Pakistan. Girls from minority communities are often abducted and forced to convert and marry. Last month, a policeman kidnapped a Hindu girl in Sindh province, forced her to convert to Islam and then married her.
