Ahmedabad. The Gujarat High Court on Tuesday issued notices to the state unit of the BJP, CR Patil and Vijay Rupani government, regarding the purchase and distribution of Remadecivir injection. Remadecivir injection is used in the treatment of infections. In fact, the state BJP started the campaign to distribute five thousand vials of injection free from the party’s Surat office on April 10.

Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Paresh Dhanani filed a petition in this regard, which was accepted by a bench of Justice Sonia Gokani and Justice Vaibhav Nanavati, and also issued notices to BJP MLA Harsha Sanghvi and District Magistrate from Surat.

The High Court asked the Food and Drug Commissioner to inform the bench what action was taken on the petition filed by Dhanani on 14 April.

Dhanani had approached the High Court against Patil and said in his petition that the ruling party had illegally purchased and stored the drug and did not have the license to do so.
