Three properties of most wanted gangster Dawood Ibrahim have been auctioned in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra on Wednesday in Mumbai blasts. These properties are sold at auction for more than one crore rupees. The auction of these gangster properties is being considered a big success. Earlier, no customer came to buy them. However, the names of the buyers have not been disclosed for security reasons.
The government official said on Wednesday that under smuggling and foreign currency manipulation Property Seizure Act (FEMA) i.e Foreign Exchange Management Act auction has been done. According to the official, two plots of 30 gunta and 50 gunta and one building located in Lotte village of Khed Tehsil have been purchased by a person named Ravindra Kate. A gunta consists of approximately 1089 square feet. The official said that the fixed price of these properties was Rs 1,09,15,500. While it was auctioned for Rs 1,10,01,051.
FEMA Additional Commissioner RN D’Souza said that these properties are very close to the highway. These gangster properties, along with six other properties, were to be auctioned in November, but could not be sold due to some technical difficulties. The official said that in the coming days, more properties of Daud Ibrahim will also be auctioned in Khed Tehsil. Most of Dawood Ibrahim’s properties have been identified by the government and they are being auctioned one by one. So that the gangster’s black money earning can be blocked.
Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s 6 out of 7 properties in Mumbai have already been sold. However, one property was removed from the auction. Two lawyers have got 6 properties of Dawood. Of these, 4 properties are acquired by Bhupendra Bhardwaj, while 2 properties 6 and 9 are taken by Ajay Srivastava. Dawood’s mansion is bought by lawyer Ajay Srivastava. This mansion is sold for 11 lakh 20 thousand.
