New Delhi: A fire broke out in Madanpur Khadar area near Kalindi Kunj metro station in the national capital early today. Six fire brigade vehicles were sent to the spot to douse the fire. The flames of fire were visible far and wide. Most of the people were sleeping soundly when the fire broke out. The area is said to be one of several camps for Rohingya refugees in the capital. No casualty has been reported in the fire incident.
Fire Service under control
Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg Said that the situation is now under control and the operation to douse the fire is on. The cause of the fire in this slum is not yet known. The incident comes a day after a massive fire broke out at a showroom in the Central Market area of Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar on Saturday morning. Delhi Fire Brigade sent 30 fire tenders to the spot to douse the fire in Lajpat Nagar.
The fire soon spread to nearby showrooms
Actually, a fire broke out in a clothing showroom in the Central Market area, after some time it spread to several nearby showrooms. According to the fire department, the information about the fire was received at around 10.20 am. The fire was brought under control after about four hours. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained. According to the Delhi Fire Service, no one was injured in the massive fire in the showroom of Central Market in Lajpat Nagar.
