The agitating farmers on the Tikri border is angry mood. The farmers said that the government is hanging the issue on the pretext of repeated talks. Today will be the last round of conversation. After this, no talk will be there.

Kisan United Front President Rampal Singh has said that today they will come through a last surviving battle, there will not be a daily meeting. There will be no other thing in the meeting today, it will be only for repealing the laws.

In the last meeting on Thursday, Tomar had assured the leaders of 40 farmers’ organizations that the government ready to discuss on all issues with open mind to strengthen the APMC (Agricultural Produce Market Committee) mandis (whole sale market), create equal level of competition with the proposed private markets and make the provision to move and to knock the door of the High Courts for dispute resolution . The government had emphasized that procurement system will continue at the minimum support price (MSP) but farmers are adamant on their demand for repeal of agricultural laws.

Even on the Chilla border on the Delhi-Noida link road, the farmers are continuously protesting against the three agricultural laws. One farmer said that if no concrete result is found in today’s conversation with the government, then they will cordon the Parliament House.

The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee is providing three time food daily to the farmers agitating on the Singhu border of Delhi-Haryana. Even today, food is being prepared for the farmers there in the morning.

Indian Farmers Union leader Rakesh Tikait has threatened that if the government fails to meet the demands, the agitation of the farmers will intensify. Tikait said, “During the meeting held on Thursday, the government and farmers could not reach any decision. The government wants to amend the three laws, but we want the laws to be repealed completely,” He said,” If the government does not agree to our demands, we will continue to protest. We are wanting to see what happens in Saturday’s meeting. ”
