Aryan Khan Drugs Case: NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede reached the agency’s headquarters in Delhi today and spent about two hours here. According to sources, during the meeting, clear instructions have been given to Mumbai Joint Director Sameer Wankhede to cooperate fully in the vigilance investigation of the matter. Sameer Wankhede has been asked to stay in Delhi till further orders. Vigilance team is going to go to Mumbai soon to investigate this matter.
Let us tell you that Sameer Wankhede is leading the investigation into the seizure of drugs from the cruise ship, in which Aryan Khan, son of actor Shahrukh Khan, has been arrested. Aryan’s bail plea is being heard in the Bombay High Court today.
NCB Deputy Director General (DDG) for North Zone Dnyaneshwar Singh told reporters in front of the NCB office, “I have not called anyone for my investigation.” Heading the departmental vigilance inquiry. “I will call him (Wankhede) when needed,” said Singh, an Indian Police Service officer.
Wankhede arrived in Delhi on Monday after a witness, Prabhakar Sail, accused him of trying to extort money from actor Shah Rukh Khan. Prabhakar had claimed on Sunday that an NCB official and others had demanded Rs 25 crore to release Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. After these allegations, orders have been given for Vigilance Inquiry.
Wankhede, on his arrival in Delhi on Monday, had said that he has not been summoned by the agency, but has come here for some work and has conducted a fair investigation in the narcotics case.
The officer had on Sunday written to Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale seeking protection alleging that some unidentified persons might plan possible legal action against him. He had alleged that they wanted to implicate him.
