Delhi government’s new scheme, now driving license can be made even at night

New Delhi, Delhiites will now be able to give driving test even at night to get driving license. Understanding the problems of the people, Delhi Government has started Automatic Driving Test Tracks in night shift also. Now people doing duty during the day will be able to give driving test even at night to get driving license.

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot on Wednesday inaugurated automatic driving test tracks set up for night tests at Shakurbasti, Mayur Vihar and Vishwas Nagar. Now driving license can be issued to the people of Delhi who give driving test here. The Delhi government had earlier started the trial of automatic driving test track in Mayur Vihar and Vishwas Nagar in April, after which the Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot has formally inaugurated it today.

,We are constantly monitoring Night Shift,
On the occasion of the inauguration, Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said that such driving test tracks are available as a pilot project from May, where people can save their time by availing the facility of driving test in night shift. He said that the government has already conducted tests for more than 2500 driving licenses in night shift (evening/night shift) from May 1. We are continuously monitoring Night Shift and improving things like lite, camera resolution to ensure maximum efficiency. The facility of night test is as good as day time. We are also adding 8 new ADTTs in educational institutions, which are currently in the tendering stage. This will be a big step towards reducing waiting.

The Transport Minister informed that the department has given the responsibility to Maruti Suzuki Foundation to set up 12 automatic driving test tracks. Along with this, the responsibility of maintaining all 12 automatic driving test track centers has been given to Rosmerta Technology Limited. Kailash Gahlot said that 17 cameras of high resolution have been installed, which captures real time footage and images, for the driving test to be closely examined. Along with this, electronic queue management system has also been installed for the tokens, which determines the time with the token to the people who have come to give the test. He told that the applicants will do first in first out. No other person can be tested without taking a token. For this, 6 servers have been installed, which will test the video thoroughly and give its transparent result. Simultaneously, the charioteer will automatically upload it on the software.

,5:00 pm 8:00 pm to 8:00 pm There will be a driving test by noon,
Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said that 10 CCTV cameras have been installed at all automatic test track centers for the driving test to be conducted in a transparent and effective manner. Required driving skills will be tested. There will be a driving test on the Automatic Driving Test track from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. 45 appointments will be booked daily on each track. 3000 appointment schedule will be available per day after the commissioning of all 12 automatic driving test tracks. At present, 135 driving tests are being scheduled daily on these three automatic driving test tracks.

30 during the trial April 24 Booking status on all three tracks till May
Trial was conducted from May 1 to 24 at all three places. In which encouraging results have come out. During the trial from 30 April to 24 May, 2565 slots were booked on the Automatic Driving Test Track at Shakurbasti, Mayurvihar and Vishwasnagar. Of these, 855 people had booked slots for driving license in Shakurbasti. Out of which 255 people had arrived to give the driving test. Out of this, 129 people passed the automatic driving test track. The same 126 people failed.

Similarly, 855 people had booked slot for driving license in Mayur Vihar. Out of which 424 people had arrived to give driving test. Out of this, 232 people passed the automatic driving test track, while 192 people failed.

In Vishwas Nagar also 855 people had booked slot for driving license. Out of which 266 people had arrived to give the driving test. Out of this, 149 people passed on the automatic driving test track, while 117 people failed.
