A woman was sentenced to death in the United States on Wednesday after nearly 70 years. The U.S. Department of Justice reported it. The woman’s name is Lisa Montgomery and she is 52 years old. Lisa was sentenced to death at Terre Haute. This punishment is to be given through lethal injection. The guilty woman is accused of brutally killing a pregnant woman to steal a baby. Lisa was sentenced to death late at night at 1:31 p.m. (Indian time).
The murder took place in the year 2004. Lisa had no children. She committed this crime to have a child. The pregnant Bobby Stinette was found by her, who was involved in buying and selling dogs. Talking about buying a dog, she went to Bobby’s house, where she strangled Bobby and then tore her belly and took the baby out.
Lisa has been recently sentenced to death. Lisa was not relieved by the Trump administration either. Kelly Henry, Lisa’s lawyer, also filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the sentence, but the court upheld the sentence.
Kelly described the death penalty for Lisa as a black chapter for the United States, although Kelly was well aware of the seriousness of the crime but was against the death penalty. After being sentenced, he said that all those involved in Lisa’s death execution should feel ashamed.
