Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Thursday that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits the state, she will hold a meeting with him to review the devastation caused by cyclone ‘Yas’. Banerjee said that this meeting will be held on Friday at Kalaikunda in West Midnapore district.
Speaking to reporters at the state secretariat, he said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come here after surveying the storm affected areas of Odisha. He will come to Kalakunda via Digha and will fly to Delhi from there itself. The Prime Minister will hold a review meeting with me in Kalaikunda.
Chief Minister Banerjee is also scheduled to undertake an aerial survey of the areas of cyclone-affected East Midnapore, North and South 24 Parganas districts on Friday along with Chief Secretary Alapan Bandopadhyay.
