He said that states now have more than eight crore doses of vaccine. The minister said that 28 crore doses will be available this month, while 22 crore doses were available in September. He said that out of 28 crores, about 22 crore doses will be of Kovishield vaccine and 60 million doses of Covaccine vaccine will be provided. He informed that about 60 lakh DNA vaccines will be produced.

When asked about the political allegations and counter-allegations between the Delhi BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party government in the national capital over the ban on Chhath Puja due to the pandemic, the sources said that all states have standard operating procedures (SOPs) for observing the festival. And no politics should be done on this.

Delhi government has written a letter to Mandaviya in this regard. In fact, the state unit of BJP has targeted the Arvind Kejriwal-led government for this.
