Varanasi. Three cattle smugglers jumped down the bridge due to the head of police siege in Chandauli area of Uttar Pradesh, due to which all three of them died. The incident took place around two and a half hours, where eight cattle were taken to Bihar in an animal smuggler pick-up car on the Karmnasha river near Mangraur village on the Chakia-Ilya route.
On receipt of information about the jamming of the bridge in the case, the police arrived, and found eight cows were loaded in a pick-up luggage vehicle. One of these animals recovered by the police was found dead. A crowd of people gathered around the cattle cart told that the animal smugglers jumped into the river for fear of the police. When the police reached the river with the help of the villagers of the area, two people were found dead. The same other person was breathing but he too succumbed in the hospital. Police have recovered Aadhar card and two mobiles from the three deceased.
Based on the ID received from him, they have been identified as 28-year-old Deepak, 25-year-old Badhu and Chandrakesh. The recovered pick-up vehicle and animals have been brought to the police station premises. The police has engaged in legal action by filling the panchnama of the three killed animal smugglers. Kotwal Nagendra Pratap Singh said that the statement of animal smuggler Chandrakesh has been recorded by the police during treatment in the joint hospital, necessary action is being taken in this regard.
