BJP Attack On AAP for DTC Buses: Bharatiya Janata Party state president Adesh Gupta accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot of corruption. Writing a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah, demanding a CBI inquiry into the DTC bus scam. Adesh Gupta said that Arvind Kejriwal, who once talked about the common man, today for him the cost of life of common people has become cheaper than water. Therefore, the DTC Transport Corporation with a budget of Rs 5000 crore has reached the verge of ruin today. DTC, which used to provide facilities through bus, is taking lives of people today.
DTC has become a den of complete corruption today. Adesh Gupta has written a letter to the Home Minister Shri Amit Shah to get the entire matter investigated by the CBI, in view of the culmination of corruption in the ruined DTC. Along with this, Adesh Gupta questioned the frequent fire in DTC buses. He said that within the last one month, six DTC buses were burnt to ashes and this is telling the story of the ruin of the Delhi government. Before Kejriwal came to power, there were 6200 DTC buses which have come down to 3700 today. Whereas the population of Delhi has increased by 20 to 25 lakhs in the last seven years.
DTC buses have become deadly
He said that Kejriwal himself had submitted an affidavit in the court and said that there is a need for 11000 buses in Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party had also said in its manifesto that as soon as their government comes, they will bring 11000 buses. The public is still waiting for those 11000 buses. Adesh Gupta said that today DTC buses have become life-threatening. The Kejriwal government has made an agreement for the maintenance of 1000 buses whose life has expired, Rs. Already done.
99 percent buses are more than 12 years old
He said that the age limit of a bus is 8 to 12 years and today 99 percent of the buses in Delhi have crossed the age limit of 12 years. Today 32 buses inside DTC are 12 years old while 3700 buses are 10 to 12 years old. That is, Kejriwal is playing with the lives of people by driving buses that have crossed the age limit on the roads of Delhi. Whatever is happening in Delhi Transport Corporation is a collusion between Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot. Neither any bus is being repaired nor any improvement is being done. Because the buses that have expired cannot be repaired and if they were, then perhaps these buses would not have been seen burning in the middle of the road. He said that there has been corruption in the money spent on the repair of old buses, which should be investigated by the CBI.
